… a little more about me. In 2001, I co-founded my family’s manufacturing business alongside dear friend and brother, Paul Witherby. Over the years T-Concepts experienced many evolutions since its inception. Originating as an Industrial Design House, a few years in we transitioned into architecture and became a Design-build House with a focus on interior sliding glass door systems and moveable walls, integrating into hospitality and mixed-use developments throughout North America and into the Islands. We had an exciting and fulfilling run, but after the financial crisis of 2008, Paul and I decided to close T-Concepts and explore other interests. The time was upon us to renew, regroup, and align with other passions in life.

After attending a 10-day silent retreat (difficult but highly recommended) I decided to move into the personal wellness business and launched an online sustainable beauty apothecary called O&N Collective. Organic and Natural Collective was a top-tier retailer of non-toxic products for the home, and temple (the body) – selling to women, men, and families around the world. In combination during this time, I launched a well respected and successful eco-living blog; Organic Contessa alongside industry experts on mind/body wellness. This was an exciting time in my life and certainly heightened my awareness for creating and cultivating sustainable business practices and relationships; a business with purpose, principal and passion. During O&N Collective’s height, we were awarded and certified as a GOLD member of Green America, as well as a member of 1% For the Planet. I was also a contributing editor of Living Green Magazine and an investor in one of the first community co-op grocery stores in eastern North Carolina. It was a deeply fulfilling time of growth and expansion.

But there was another part of life that I was equally, if not more, passionate about. This was and is or family’s business and the unique and incredible entrepreneurial sibling synergy shared between Paul and myself.  In 2013 life’s path brought us back together alongside a life-changing opportunity to rebuild T-Concepts. T-Concepts Solutions was formed and brought with it a renaissance; as a manufacturer of architectural door hardware. The come-back has been epic, and we have never looked back since. Today I preside as Chief Operating Officer and Director of Design for TCS, and Founder of The Design Alchemist.
