Architecture + Design Events
As the world adapts more and more to the new normal, the last quarter of 2021 can be a very busy one for architecture and design lovers. Although I would love to be able to travel all around the world and visit every single gallery, show, and exhibit there is, I have boiled the amazing offer to four events that I believe are worth keeping an eye on.
International
Arguably the most anticipated event for architecture lovers, the World Expo in Dubai will welcome visitors from all around the globe starting October 1st 2022 until March 31st 2022. With an inspiring tagline like ‘Connecting Minds, Creating the Future’, the major event aims to “explore the power of connections in shaping our world” by showcasing the latest advances in technology, sustainability, mobility, and more from participants from over 190 nations.

Sustainable Revolution is an extensive series of exhibitions organized by Zuecca Projects in the frame of the 17th International Architecture Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia. This project is curated by Alessandro Possati and “focuses on the relationship between architecture, design, and technology with sustainability”. It will take place until November 21, 2021, at Squero Castello in Venice, Italy.

National
Organized by the Center for Architecture, the annual architecture and design festival will combine in-person activities in different as well as online-only activities all throughout, you guessed it, October 2021.
Even if you’re not planning on attending, their website is a MUST!

After the sad, but necessary cancellation of last year’s exhibit, for their 17th edition, Design Miami will explore the theme of Human•Kind, “spotlighting design-led visions for a more equitable and interconnected future” in a mix of live and online activities.
