Scrolling Towards Creativity

Scrolling Towards Creativity

Being online can be such a draining experience. Although the internet is certainly the most efficient way to connect with others, discover new passions, and be in the know, with SO MUCH information available there’s definitely a risk of overload. Sometimes, simply put, it’s just too much.

As a relentlessly curious creative, I’m always on the lookout for new sources of inspiration, and Instagram has proven to be a great source; artists from all around the world share their most intimate work with everyone and anyone who’s willing to open their minds and hearts, but it’s also a place where our senses run the risk of rapid intoxication that can leave us overwhelmed.

How can we find a balance between scrolling towards creativity and emotional drainage?

Limiting screen time sounds like the best idea for children and grown people from planets that are not currently in the midst of a global pandemic that has them confined mostly to the indoors, so my safest bet for these strange times boils down to curating the best online experience for yourself that you are capable of.

If there’s something I love more than discovering things that bring me joy is sharing them with my beautiful tribe, so here I’ve gathered a few amazing Instagram accounts I’ve stumbled upon hoping they inspire you as much as they’ve inspired me, and that they help you find your new creative spark.
